TC & ME's site search engine returns a list of links to pages within our site that contain the searched for text. The best match to the searched for text is returned first in the list. Click on the link for the page you wish to see to go to that page. An explanation of how to enter text to search for is provided below.
Query Language
The text search engine allows queries to be formed from text that can include expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:
- information retrieval
- Finds documents containing 'information' or 'retrieval'.
- information OR retrieval
- Same as above.
- information AND retrieval
- Finds documents containing both 'information' and 'retrieval'.
- information NOT retrieval
- Finds documents containing 'information' but not 'retrieval'.
- (information NOT retrieval) and WAIS
- Finds documents containing 'WAIS', plus 'information' but not 'retrieval'.
- web*
- Finds documents containing words starting with 'web'.
- *web
- Finds documents containing words ending with 'web'.
- *web*
- Finds documents containing words containing 'web'.
