Any form of film or video tape deteriorates over time. Even if a film or video is never played it will eventually deteriorate to a condition that prevents it from being viewed at all. And the more a tape or film is played the more it deteriorates. Video tapes and film are also highly susceptible to environmental hazards. If you've ever stored a video tape in your attic during the summer, chances are you are never going to be able to play that tape again. Just playing a video tape or film footage exposes it to danger. How many tapes have been lost because the tape got caught in the player? How much film footage has been eaten by projectors? And once that video tape or film footage is damaged or destroyed the memories triggered by playing those images are lost forever.
By having TC & ME convert your 8mm film and video tapes to DVD you can avoid almost all of the hazards above. And by taking advantage of TC & ME's Storage Option you can avoid all of the hazards listed above and many more!
Just as our Digital Scrapbook is much more than just a bunch of pictures on a DVD, our film and video conversion process can create a video DVD from your 8mm film and video tape that is much more than just a copy.
- We can give you the ability to easily
navigate through your video DVD by adding
chapter points. Rather than
adding chapter points at random or preset intervals, we allow you to specify
where chapter points should go. This allows you to divide your video or
film footage
into meaningful scenes and to easily skip between chapters when watching
your video DVD.
- We can add a
Title
Menu to your video DVD.
A Title menu is the first screen seen when you play your video DVD. It
is usually used to provide information about the video, and it can have any
text or picture that you would like on it.
- We can add menus with
Thumbnail pictures of
your chapter points to help you navigate your video DVD even easier.
Menus also give your video DVD a more professional "Hollywood" look and feel.
With the addition of menus you will be able navigate your video DVD by
immediately jumping to any chapter point!
- We can add Text to your menus as a subtitle
to the chapter thumbnails, or to provide more information.
- We can link the text itself to chapter points within your video DVD. So if you prefer text instead of thumbnails then we can do that too!
